Information system is a web-based, "Total Enterprise"
Management Solution providing municipalities and government

Canopy®
Enterprise
Information system is designed to give our customers the
utmost in functionality and flexibility, and more modules
and feature choices than any traditional network
applications or exiting web-based service on the market
today. Each Module and individual feature of the
Canopy®
Enterprise
Information system is completely end-user configurable,
allowing our customers to meet the exacting needs of their
organization and conform to the way they do business. In
addition, each module and feature of the
Canopy® Enterprise
system is completely functional as a stand alone product.
Adding additional modules or features as needed and as
budgets allow is as easy as the flip of a switch.
Canopy® Enterprise
Information was developed using the latest .NET 2 framework,
making it compatible with all of the latest web-based
mapping systems. Whichever mapping platform you choose to
work with; Arc GIS Server 9.2, Microsoft Virtual Earth or
Google Maps, the
Canopy® GIS
module lets you choose while still providing full
functionality.

web based solution for the commercial contractor end-user.
If your business is arboriculture, landscaping, natural
resource management, irrigation, or

line of work where estimating, creating work orders,
managing crews, assets or customers is a must, Canopy
Contractor® is a total solution to manage your business.
Canopy Contractor® provides seamless integration with
financial software, and our broadcast e-mail function allows
you to easily communicate with customers for special
offerings, product or service updates, or to market to
potential new customers. Canopy Contractor®, the time saving
tool to completely manage your contracting business.
Managing field assets is best done it the field, not back in
the office. So we’ve developed Data Works™ and Data Works
for Tablet PC to help you where you spend your time.
Combined with Canopy Contractor®, Data Works™ provides a
direct link with your field personnel and office staff.
Designed not to be hardware or user specific, Data Works™
can be used on any handheld device
using Windows Mobile 5.0 or Windows CE or CX. With
Data Works™ for Tablet PC, the application can be used by
any tablet pc, rugged pc, or laptop computer. Canopy®
Contractor can also be combined with Canopy® GIS when
working or reporting in a mapping platform is needed.
By
using a web based application, the need for an IT specialist
has been eliminated. Simply login on to the web database and
access the application from anywhere you have an internet
connection.
Canopy Contractor® and Data Works ™ use the latest .NET 2
framework, operating at speeds 20-25% than our previous .NET
applications.
The .NET 2 framework is an absolute requirement for
businesses needing to link and exchange data with today’s
mapping
services.

Canopy®
Tree Management Module
Canopy® is a powerful, web-based
tree management application developed by and for
urban foresters, and because Canopy®
is a web-based application, there is no time spent
on “computer issues” like network installations,
corrupt or missing files, crashes and other annoying
“tech” things having nothing to do with your trees.
Your time and effort is spent where it belongs,
managing your trees, not your computer or network.
Simply log into Canopy® and
start managing your trees. It’s that simple. Setting
up Canopy® takes almost no time and
effort, and when you’re done, Canopy®
has helped you create the most powerful tree
management software available, completely customized
to fit your needs.
Manage Contractors &
Projects
Canopy® lets you easily manage your
parkway and park trees, as well as your Contractors
and Projects. With Canopy® you can
create work orders and projects for your staff or
for your outside contractors.
With the Canopy® multiple layered
log-in system, you can grant access to
Canopy®, via the internet, to any or all of
your contractors as well as to other departments
within your city’s organization. Upon log-in,
they’ll see ONLY those work orders assigned to them
and can report back to you, tree by tree as work is
completed. Only your approval can close a work order
and post the respective work orders to the trees
involved.
Requiring your contractors to manage their contracts
in Canopy® can reduce your already
affordable Canopy® subscription
costs. Your Canopy® subscription
allows you the right to grant access to an unlimited
number of contractors via logins you provide.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is safe and secure with Arbor Vision Software, Inc. and it belongs to you. In the event you should need to cancel your Canopy® subscription, your data will be returned to you. Your data is backed up on a nightly basis for safe keeping. We use industry standard SSL connections to secure your connection to the Canopy® application and your data is kept safe behind a state of the art firewall.
